Building Worlds
Wonderfilled Books started because of one simple truth: Jason Soule didn’t just want to tell stories—he had to tell stories.
Storytelling has always been at the heart of who Jason is. As a writer, creator, and lifelong believer in the power of imagination, he saw how stories could shape young minds, build empathy, and create lasting connections between readers and the world around them. But he also saw how many writers with meaningful stories never took the first step into publishing, often because the process felt overwhelming or out of reach.
Wonderfilled Books was created to change that.
Kristine Bayer’s journey with Wonderfilled Books began with a simple introduction through a mutual friend. What started as a casual coffee meeting to discuss one of Jason’s stories quickly became something more.
Kristine didn’t just understand the story—she felt it. If Jason must tell stories, then Kristine must draw them.
Where Jason had passion for authors, Kristine wanted to build a place where artists could find work within their community. She envisioned a creative home where illustrators are valued, supported, and given the space to create work that would inspire the future generations.
Our Community
Nestled at the top of the central California Valley, the city of Redding is a bustling outdoors community. This is where Wonderfilled Books started, surrounded by the wonders of nature—towering oaks, the Sacramento River, mountain air, and open skies that invite curiosity and creativity.
It’s here that our team found inspiration not only in the landscape, but in the people. Redding’s strong sense of community, love for the outdoors, and appreciation for creativity helped shape Wonderfilled Books into what it is today. The natural world that surrounds us fuels our stories and artwork, reminding us daily of the magic that exists just beyond our doorsteps.
